Share your library story

Learn more about the New Stories campaign here.

Libraries are full of stories -- and not just the ones found in books!  As part of the New Stories campaign, we are collecting stories about the role that the Library has played in your life.  We invite you to share your story below.  Your entry can come in any form: descriptive story, images, YouTube video, etc. We'll select the best ones and compile them into a community library storybook.  Some ideas might be:
  • A favorite memory of the library.
  • What the library means to you.
  • A special program or event you've attended.
  • How you and your family use the library.

Please note: by submitting your library story, you agree to allow the Lawrence Public Library to use it in promotional materials.

"The public library is a tremendous asset to the Lawrence
community. It is a place for life-long learning for the whole
community.  It feels like a welcoming place, and it provides
many services to the citizens of Lawrence, both young and old. "
