Each year, the Library Foundation presents the "Community Enrichment Award" at its annual After Hours at the Library benefit. The award is presented to a current or former Lawrence resident for his or her outstanding contributions to their field of work or to their community. These individuals make us proud to live in Lawrence! 

Past honorees have included Opera is My Hobby radio host James Seaver and his wife Virginia, national baseball historian Bill James, and National Public Radio reporter Neda Ulaby.
