The Lawrence Public Library Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that seeks out private funding for the library. Its mission is to provide long term, stable support for the resources and services the library needs to meet the evolving educational, recreational, and informational needs and interests of the community. While private donations cannot replace strong public funding of the library, the Foundation provides the "extras" that help make our good public library a GREAT public library.
